Ms. Yasmin Jayathirtha, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru conducted a workshop for our teachers on Activity-Based Learning.
Dr. Naveen Kumar V, a Psychiatrist interacted with our teachers discussing on the concerns towards physical & mental health of the children.
Mr. Srikanth Chandrasekaran from Altius Foundation conducted a workshop on Self-based learning.
Annual Day for the year 2018-2019 was held on 11th April for Juniors and 12th April for Seniors.
Dance and Music teachers from Shanti Niketan conducted a workshop for students about Rabindra Nritya & Sangeet.
Neeraja Raghavan conducted a workshop for the teachers through a story from her book “Teaching Tales Learning Trails”.
Students from Smart Modern school, Tirupur visited the school. They interacted with the students of Class 9, followed by Bharatanatyam & Irula dance.
Vidya Vanam hosted the cultural extravaganza Svanubhava, which had over 900 students from Coimbatore, Tirupur, & Trichy. There were Bharatanatyam and Folk Dance presentation by Kali and group, “Naadi”-a children’s play by Thiru G. Vijayakumar, Carnatic concert by Brindha Manickavasakan, Shreya Devnath & Trichy G. Aravind, Poikaal Kuthirai by Shivaji Rao, Kudiaattam by Kapila Venu, Villupaattu by Bharathi Thirumagan & Group, Badaga Dance by Mahalinga Badaga Troop and Percussion Ensemble by Delhi Sairam, Sunil Kumar & Friends Kalaikuzhu. There were also stalls showcasing Irula food, Pata Chitra, Stone Carving, Stone Carved jewellery and Beads Jewellery.
